pub struct PlainTextEditor { /* private fields */ }Expand description
A multi-line plain-text editing surface — the code editor with its code affordances off and wrapping on. A notes field, a commit message, a description box.
It shares CodeEditor’s machinery (caret, selection, IME, clipboard,
scrolling, accessibility); the difference is configuration, so the two never
drift. Construct with PlainTextEditor::new / PlainTextEditor::read_only.
Implementations§
Source§impl PlainTextEditor
impl PlainTextEditor
Sourcepub fn new(document: TextDocument) -> Self
pub fn new(document: TextDocument) -> Self
An editable plain-text editor bound to document: no gutter, no
current-line highlight, word wrapping, and no code affordances.
Sourcepub fn read_only(document: TextDocument) -> Self
pub fn read_only(document: TextDocument) -> Self
A read-only plain-text viewer bound to document.
Sourcepub fn min_lines(self, lines: u32) -> Self
pub fn min_lines(self, lines: u32) -> Self
Restrict growth to [min, max] lines (intrinsic sizing — the composer
pattern).
Sourcepub fn font_family(self, family: impl Into<String>) -> Self
pub fn font_family(self, family: impl Into<String>) -> Self
Fallback font family.
Sourcepub fn follow_text_scale(self, follow: bool) -> Self
pub fn follow_text_scale(self, follow: bool) -> Self
Whether the editor follows the global accessibility text scale.
Sourcepub fn font_size_scale(self, scale: f32) -> Self
pub fn font_size_scale(self, scale: f32) -> Self
Per-editor logical font-size multiplier (1.0 = 100 %).
Sourcepub fn on_change(self, callback: impl Fn() + 'static) -> Self
pub fn on_change(self, callback: impl Fn() + 'static) -> Self
A callback fired on each content-changing edit batch.
Sourcepub fn background(self, color: impl Into<ColorProp>) -> Self
pub fn background(self, color: impl Into<ColorProp>) -> Self
Override the background colour.
Sourcepub fn handle(&self) -> CodeEditorHandle
pub fn handle(&self) -> CodeEditorHandle
A cloneable handle to drive the editor.

"teksilo_widgets::button::Button"). The default implementation
resolves at the impl site via std::any::type_name::<Self>(),

concrete name through the vtable without per-impl boilerplate. Read more§fn cacheable_layout(&self) -> bool

§fn as_any(&self) -> Option<&(dyn Any + 'static)>
fn as_any(&self) -> Option<&(dyn Any + 'static)>
None; concrete
widgets override with Some(self) when they want to expose
their concrete type to test-level introspection or reflection.
The trait already bounds on std::any::Any so concrete types
satisfy the 'static requirement.§fn as_any_mut(&mut self) -> Option<&mut (dyn Any + 'static)>
fn as_any_mut(&mut self) -> Option<&mut (dyn Any + 'static)>
as_any. Default
returns None; widgets that want to expose mutable state to
tests (e.g. so a test can mutate a Scene inside a
SceneView post-layout) override with Some(self). Should
follow the same opt-in pattern as as_any: only widgets
that opt into & introspection should opt into &mut.§fn clips_children(&self) -> bool

fn dim_when_inactive(self, factor: f32) -> DimWhenInactive
factor opacity whenever the host window
is inactive (not focused / occluded), restoring full opacity when it
becomes active again. The opt-in, per-widget layer of the window-active
appearance model — for custom content an app wants to fade back when its
window isn’t the active one. Stock widgets handle their own
inactive appearance (caret hiding, selection desaturation) and need no
wrapping. Layout- and a11y-transparent; the opacity snaps (no tween),
which is correct under prefers-reduced-motion. See
DimWhenInactive.§fn dim_when_inactive_default(self) -> DimWhenInactive
